Last sunday I spent over 100 dollars at Starbuck on food. Then I went on and had a bottle of dom perignon at The Highlander Bar at Clark Quay. All this whie wearing shorts and sneakers with my backpack with gym clothes. I intended to reach the gym when I was leaving home at noon. I did reach the gym but decided not to work out. Instead, I visited starbuck, bars, and among other places, casino. The amount of dollars I lost that night is equal to a number of calories I consumed over that weekend. The point is I did bad things. Not proud of anything. My next-day-10am face says it all. Yet they have not made me suffer in a way they used to have. While doing all this things I felt peace of mind caused by understanding why these things are happening. It was, indeed, a matter of choice and its further consequences.
It is nothing else than part of the game. The aim of the game is to create an environment in which bad things are less likely to happen. The key strategy here is to mindfully learn from all that is happening. Having a human connection which makes me motivated? Learn it, be aware of the mechanism and, obviously, seek for opportunities like that in the future. Feeling the urge to do bad things? Learn it, be aware lf the causes and effects and, obviously, avoid situations like that in the future.
Now I’m off to meet a very interesting person for lunch. I am excited. I am aware of the excitement. I am aware of the potential disappointment due to inevitable expectations. Yet there is no doubt that this is a clear example of an opportunity to experience human connection. And that means this is the right call. Just an examplary example (taki przykład przykładowy)
That’s it. Evolution, 2018.
